Just because you have an access control system in place does not mean that your employees are never going to get ahold of information they shouldn’t have access to. You can reduce this behavior, however, by monitoring your employees’ activity to check for anything suspicious. When employees know that their activities are monitored, they are far less likely to use their resources inappropriately.
